Legends of India 06: The Shunga Period

The advent of Buddhism and Jainism played a great role in shaping the history of India in 2nd century BC. Pushyamitra Shunga, the commander of the last Mauryan king Brihadratha killed the king, in the first of its kind act of regicide.
